Why their Kids are going to Colombia

Gospel Family Ministries celebrates Family Missions and rejoices over testimonies of families who live out both the Great Commission of making disciples of the nations and the Great Commandments of loving God & our neighbor.

Today, we share one of these brief testimonies:

Javier & Nancy Benavides have served together as missionaries in their community and overseas, and now, are preparing to take their kids on a mission trip to Colombia.

Gospel Family Ministries asked them, "Why did you choose to bring your children with you on this mission trip"?

Here's what they had to say:

(1) "As believers we are to be obedient to God, and we are to disciple our children. We believe, taking them on mission with us to Colombia will be a big part of their discipleship."

(2) "As a family we have spent a year praying for the missionaries that our church supports. Now our children will be able to participate as missionaries like the ones they have been praying for."

(3) "We desire as a family to glorify God by serving together as a family."
